EICHER CELEBRATES THE ROLL OUT OF 100,000TH BUS

Indore: Eicher Trucks & Buses, part of VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, rolled out the 100,000th bus on 26^th Feb, 2019 from itsbus facility in Baggad, near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Eicher’s busfacility, inaugurated in 2013, is a state-of-the-art bus body manufacturing facility for school, staff, route-permit& intercity segments.

An integrated and compact manufacturing set-up spread across 43 acres, the plant boasts of robust design and development capabilities with state-of-the-art welding, unique body shell drop technology, Robotic paint shop & high level of automation on assembly lines.In the course of last six years, Eicher has introduced buses under Starline, Skyline and Skyline PRObrandscatering to basic, value and mid Premium segment from this facility.

About 300variants are manufactured in the bus plant facility, across light, medium and heavy-dutyapplications for domestic & export market. With an annual capacity of 16,800 busesper annum and the first bus plant in India with robotic painting for buses, the plant has been awarded IATF 16949 for Quality Management System, CII 5S excellence award and holds ISO certifications for environment management system, energy management system& is India’s first bus plant to get the Platinum rating.
